Privacy Policy

Effective July 24, 2026

DuroWork provides business-management software for contractors and service businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how DuroWork ("DuroWork," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you visit durowork.com, create or use a DuroWork account, or otherwise interact with our services.

Your client data is not our product. We do not sell, rent, or trade your business data or your clients' personal information. We do not disclose client data for third-party advertising. We use it only to provide, secure, maintain, support, and improve the DuroWork services, as directed by the account holder, or as required by law.

1. Information we collect

Account and business information. We may collect names, email addresses, telephone numbers, login credentials, company details, subscription information, and communications with DuroWork.

Customer Content. Account holders and authorized users may submit information about their own customers, employees, jobs, estimates, invoices, payments, schedules, notes, photos, files, communications, marketing activities, and other business records. We call this "Customer Content." The account holder controls Customer Content and is responsible for having the rights and permissions necessary to submit and use it.

Payment information. Subscription and transaction payments may be processed by Stripe or another payment processor. DuroWork generally receives transaction status, billing identifiers, and limited payment-related details rather than complete payment-card numbers.

Usage and technical information. We may collect IP address, browser and device information, log data, pages or features used, timestamps, error reports, cookies, and similar technical information needed to operate and protect the service.

Connected services. When you connect services such as email, payments, storage, communications, or other integrations, we may receive and process information necessary to provide that integration according to your instructions and the permissions you grant.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and administer DuroWork; authenticate users; process subscriptions and payments; store and display Customer Content; deliver requested emails, texts, invoices, quotes, reports, and other workflows; provide support; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot and improve reliability; comply with law; and enforce our agreements.

We do not use one customer's Customer Content to market another business. We do not use your clients' information for DuroWork's independent advertising purposes.

3. Artificial intelligence features

Some DuroWork features may use artificial intelligence to generate or assist with content. Information is sent to an AI service only when needed to perform the feature you request or enable. We seek to limit the information sent to what is reasonably necessary for that task. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before using or sending it.

4. When information may be disclosed

We may disclose information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. Vendors may process limited information on our behalf for hosting, database storage, file storage, payments, email, text messaging, analytics, security, customer support, and AI-enabled features. They may use the information only to provide contracted services to us, subject to their agreements and applicable law.
  • At your direction. We disclose information when an authorized user sends an invoice, email, text, payment request, shared link, export, or otherwise directs DuroWork to transmit information.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements.
  • Business transfer. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections and this Policy or notice of a materially different policy.

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Account holder and processor roles

For Customer Content, the DuroWork account holder generally determines why and how the information is used, while DuroWork processes it to provide the service. Requests from an account holder's customer or employee concerning Customer Content should ordinarily be directed to that account holder. We will reasonably assist account holders with appropriate requests where required.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain information while an account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain legitimate business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and comply with law. Account holders may request account closure or deletion of Customer Content. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, security logs, transaction records, or records we are legally required to keep.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Account holders are responsible for maintaining secure passwords, limiting user access, promptly removing former users, and protecting devices and connected accounts.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update certain account information in DuroWork and may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, subject to identity verification and applicable exceptions. Because DuroWork does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale or advertising-sharing activity to opt out of.

Residents of some jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable law. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.

9. Cookies and website analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for login, security, preferences, performance, and basic website analytics. You can control cookies through your browser, though disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.

10. Children's privacy

DuroWork is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through account registration. Account holders must not submit children's information unless they have a lawful business purpose and all required authority or consent.

11. International use

DuroWork is operated from the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. When changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the service or by email.

13. Contact us

For privacy questions or requests, contact DuroWork through the support channel available in your account or through the contact options provided on durowork.com. Please include enough information for us to identify your account and understand the request.

This policy describes DuroWork's current practices and is not a substitute for legal advice to your business.
